The European Composites Industry Association (EuCIA) is exhibiting at JEC World 2024 in Paris on 5-7 March. EuCIA is leader of the project’s Work Package 7: Dissemination, Communication and Exploitation.

JEC World is the leading international trade show for the composites industry and offers a unique platform for innovation, business, and networking. In 2023, the event attracted around 1200 exhibitors and more than 40,000 professional visits. Conferences, panel discussions, presentations and exhibits will explore the latest developments and innovations impacting the industry and offer a glimpse into the future of composites.

Sustainability will be a key theme in the event programme and on the exhibition floor. Over the past years, JEC World has reflected the growing need for technologies and business models enabling reuse and recycling of composite materials and provides an opportunity to share and discuss the latest initiatives and connect with stakeholders across the value chain.

Recycling composite wind turbine blades

EuCIA is exhibiting on booth 6P120 and welcomes the opportunity to discuss the REFRESH project’s aim to develop and demonstrate a circular, smart system for recycling glass fibre reinforced composites from end-of-use wind turbine blades. The REFRESH team recently gathered for the project’s 2nd General Assembly to review progress made during the first year and discuss the activities planned for the second year.

Project partners ACCIONA (booth 6K29) and CETMA (5L111) will also be exhibiting at JEC World, and representatives from Gees Recycling will be attending.
